The University of Pittsburgh Bands is proud to announce our first ever Band Directors Pep Band! We invite current and former band directors of all levels to take part in this band. The band will perform at the Pitt Men's Basketball game vs. Miami on Saturday, January 2nd, at 2 pm.

Logistical Details

Date: Saturday, January 2nd, 2027
Schedule:

11:30 am: Check In (Band Room Annex in Trees Hall)
12-1 pm: Rehearsal (Band Room Annex in Trees Hall)
1 pm: Relocate to Petersen Events Center
2 pm: Tip Off!
Post game: Gathering at local Oakland establishment TBD

Instruments

You must have your own instrument in order to participate in Band Directors Pep Band. We will not be loaning out any instruments, except for the following:

Sousaphones
Battery Percussion (must provide own sticks)
Drum Set (must provide own sticks)
